Alternative options to virtual arkansas12/6/2023 ![]() Most of my days I wake up excited and ambitious about attending class and have loved my professors and their commitment to my education. Along with making amazing friends and memories, I have greatly enjoyed the academic aspect of college. Sophomore: Coming to Central Arkansas was one of the best life choices. It is nice the Siloam Springs is only around 30 minutes away from bigger cities so that way you could go to Rogers/Bentonville fairly easy to get that. It is also hard because JBU is located in such a small town that there aren't many local things to do/ restaurants to eat at. Somethings that I would want to change about JBU is that I would like it if there were more meal options/ better food in the cafeteria. ![]() It is not a very big party culture school but SGA does a good job in trying to engage everyone. Campus life is very engaging and super safe. There are amazing walking and biking trails around campus that are great for getting outdoors! It is a smaller university so it never feels too crowded and class sizes are great to be able to get to known your professor and feel a personal investment from the staff. The campus is beautiful! The buildings are super pretty and the natural aspect around the campus is absolutely stunning. Senior: I think that John Brown University is an amazing place. At first, I was devastated, but perseverance and self-growth will only make me stronger. However, despite maintaining a 4.0 with challenging courses like Ethics, Anatomy, and Physiology, I was not admitted into the nursing program. I set goals and I work very hard to achieve them. I am an individual who is hardworking, passionate and determined. That being said, it is extremely competitive. The sole reason I loved Arkansas was how amazing their nursing program was. ![]() Thus, this led me to be on our sisterhood committee and I now serve on our 2023 recruitment team. I have always been someone who is very involved and wants to be a leader in the community. I decided to go through the recruitment process, where I rushed ZETA. I loved every minute, and I truly made the best decision to attend. Junior: When I toured the UofA I immediately fell in love with the campus because it reminded me of hallmark movies, therefore, it felt like a warm and welcoming place.
